John Cruikshank is President & CEO of JMC2 Civil Engineering + Surveying, a San Pedro based company founded in 1996. Because of his involvement with hundreds of unique engineering projects, John leverages that experience to successfully support his client’s critical projects. His current responsibilities include corporate leadership, client relations, business development, community outreach, and project management. John also worked for Caltrans (Los Angeles) and two civil engineering firms prior to starting his own.
In addition to his almost 30 years in civil engineering, John is currently a Board Member and Past President of the Harbor Association of Industry and Commerce (HAIC) where he formed the HAIC Workforce Development Committee. He was also on the Board for the International Trade Education Program (ITEP) and past Chair of the Banning High School PATHS Academy Board of Advisors.
John lives in Rancho Palos Verdes with Jennifer, his wife of 24 years, and teenage son, Sean, who is attending Peninsula High School. John is currently the Chair of the Rancho Palos Verdes Planning Commissioner.
